Self Reflection

For this photo reflection, I used my sunglasses because you could see a reflection in them. I put them on my desk and took the photo of my reflection in the glasses.

Photo Walk

I like this photo because it shows the plants in a line going into the distance.

Before and After

In this before and after, I had chipped nails so I fixed them in Photoshop to make it look like they weren't chipped. Also, I zoomed into my hand so you can see it clearer.

Photography Composition

Leading line

Road at Mount. Washington        P.Bozek        2014

Leading line- a line in the picture that leads your eye to a point or into the distance
This image works for a leading line because it shows a road going off into the distance. It leads your eye through the picture and the way that the road curves gives the photo a sense of motion. Also, in this photo, the road leads your eye to the background where it disappears behind the mountain.

Rhythm
My driveway        P.Bozek        2014
Rhythm- shows something like a repeating pattern such as color or shape and can create a feeling of depth
This is an example of rhythm because you can see that the bricks are the same size and shape. Also, you can see that the bricks are aligned to form a zigzag pattern.

Horizontal
Sunset in the Catskill Mountains        P.Bozek        2014

Horizontal- the picture is wider than it is tall

This picture shows us a sunset by the lake. This picture is horizontal because it’s a landscape photo and they are taken horizontally. Also, this photo is horizontal because this subject is wider than it is tall.

Vertical
Waterfall in the Catskill Mountains      P.Bozek      2014

Vertical- when a picture is taller than it is wide
This picture is of a waterfall. This picture is vertical because the subject is taller than it is wide. Also, since it is taller than it is wide, to capture the whole image you would have to take it vertically.

Focus
Flowers from my backyard        P.Bozek        2014

Focus- When the lens is focused on the subject. It can be soft and sharp
This is an example of sharp focus because it focuses on the flower while the background is blurred out. In this photo, the main subject is the flower and it is the most visible object or the center of interest and it has an emphasis on it.
